Really sorry to hear this. I hope your stepdaughter gathers herself and decides that her future is what matters to her, and then goes after it. Threatening self-harm and/or harm to others has a predictable outcome. It's not too late for her, though - I hope she decides to vote for herself in future. She can still go to college, study what she wants, and succeed. But this is so frustrating and upsetting for you - I'm sorry.
