I've been the world's most rubbishest friend these past few weeks - just pretty much 100% focused on work and not keeping in touch with anybody (even had to cancel Glasgow this year because it would have been the day before thesis submission and like a dickhead I am taking this to the fucking wire - again).

Don't for a moment think that this means you are not in my thoughts. I am beyond grateful that our other friends are more responsive and able to help right now (Carr and Limes particularly) when you need it most. I think of you every day, even if it doesn't always seem that way.
