I'm going to do something like that. I will call it "Bigerina." I'll lay my fat ass across a tree, draped in white silk (me, not the trees) and let the breeze air out my...um, er.... and I'll stand on the levee of the Miami River, against the background of industrialism, draped in white silk (me, not the river) and have the wind ever so slightly ripple through my dress and my hair, then I'll walk by a creek bank, draped in white silk (me, not the creek) and hold my breast as if it felt so free it wants to fly away. |

Beautiful...but the ballet poses make her look like she's been shopped into a landscape...especially the last one. Still...very lovely. I especially like the first one.

Gotta be hard to be on pointe in those landscapes. On pointe on the sand???? My fave was the last one. Ballerinas are so lovely. They go thru agony but they smile, smile, smile (or not, depending on the role).

Dana, the first reminds me of a fairy looking over a human kingdom with a kind of sorrow for those whose lives are so-----fixed and cemented; fly paper.

A couple years ago we went to a ballet of Peter Pan and through some very fortunate mistake wound up with tickets for the very front row. (It was like that old Natural Light beer commercial where that guy was being led to his seat saying "I must be in the front row" except we really were.) It's a completely different performance when you are sitting right there. What you can't see from the normal seats is that the dancers are sweating like mad and breathing very heavily. But the way they hold their posture, you don't see the chests heaving. I was very impressed. I still wonder how we got those tickets in the mail when we paid for the cheap seats. |

I remember those commercials! Bob Uecker! Only it was Miller Lite. You got Uecker seats! Hey, while you're out getting all cultury I'm memorizing beer commercials! |

I couldn't remember his name, but I knew you would know it. Good old Bob Uecker. Don't see enough of him these days. |
