My apologies if this is a re-post. I tried searching but found nothing.

The story started out with a satirical children's book (real book, not meant for children) called Go The Fuck To Sleep.

It took off.

Now, various voices and actors have read the book aloud for youtube.

This one is IMHO the best. The narrator is Noni Hazlehurst, who for non-Aussies has spent years as the host of Play School, roughly the equivalent of Sesame Street. She has been reading books to the children of Australia for years. She is also an EXCELLENT actor, as she demonstrates here. There are also versions narrated by Samuel L Jackson, Gollum and someone's grandma.

Warning: this is as funny as hell, but has a category five potty-mouth warning. This is NOT suitable for children or work.

Maybe a repost, maybe not, who cares?

This book was a gift to me from my lovely, loving girlfriend (who is, herself, a mother) for
Father's Day. Best Father's Day book evar! I read it aloud to my BD, and to SonofV. My performance was not as polished as the one in your post. It was not as polished as Samuel L Jackson's either, which I consider the best of the lot. He, and I, both emphasized the real despair of a real parent, really saying this to their real kid. Don't trust me on this one, ask any of the parents here.

Thats how she used to read books to me on Play School.

Now, I need to youtube and see if she does "mummy laid an egg".
