It's about what you want most, I guess. Life in Cortez has any number of drawbacks. I moved here from the city for two main reasons: 1) You can be in some of the most beautiful places on earth in less than an hour drive. 2) I could get affordable housing.
For two long years my number one reason for moving out here became a moot point. It sucked bad, and I might as well have been living in suburbia. In fact, I'd have been better off in suburbia because suburbia implies access to city amenities. Without a vehicle, I had the worst of both worlds. Now, I'm free again. It's no wonder America has a love affair with the car! |
