Great Pic. We should start a thread of pics of our parents. I have recently come across some great pics of my Dad when he was in the Navy and a few of him as a High School Priniple and Super.

I may have posted this, not sure. Here is dad somewhere in the south pacific during WWII. Looks like barracks behind them so maybe it was stateside?

He's in the back, middle with the goofy hat. He knew goofy hats were an instant laugh. I would not be surprised if he invented the "lampshade on your head gambit." The guy to his right (no head cover) was the guy who went back to the beach under fire to drag my dad into an evac boat after he'd been left for dead. He was just unconscious.

I'd say that I have seen that picture somewhere before.

This Vixen used to visit every evening and we'd put scraps out for her. Unfortunately, she never brought her cubs along.
I think that the poor soul perished on the road as many do.

It was fortunate that I took my camera with me on Tuesday this week.

Home is somewhere beneath that half a cubic mile of mist

Taken at about the same time as the image above. That isn't snow on the trees, it's hoar frost.
