Instead of going onesy twosy, check out this site: Billboard Top 100. It has lists of the top 100 hits for each year from 1950 to 2009.

Monster, check out James Gang's "Walk away" or "Funk 49." It may feel like a 90's beer commercial, but I think they made some of the best music.
