Depends on the State you are a resident of and live in. Some states are harder than others to get a CCW License. Few if any states allow open carry, maybe Alaska. Concealed is just that. Concealed. If you show it or Brandish it you better be about to use it in self defense, otherwise you risk losing your license and or jail time. Know when to hold em, know when to show em...

In Pennsylvania, persons 18 years of age and older whom are not prohibited by law from owning firearms may openly carry a handgun in plain sight with no license except in vehicles*, cities of the first class** (Philadelphia) and where prohibited specifically by statute.

Thanks, I didn't think the list was that long. I know in our state you can't carry open on your person unless out and about hunting, etc. You can carry open in your vehicle.
