I have a friend in Pakistan who tells me that about half of the young lads who go to the "terrorist trainign camps" are just bored and flabby and are looking for a way to get into shape for free.
He further says that of those who do become suicide bombers etc, most were depressed or miserable, perhaps broken hearted, and were just looking for a Halal (legal) way to kill themselves. I wouldn't vouch for the accuracy of this information. My friend is awfully postmodernist and reinterprets shit however he likes.
