HELP! need new Vacation location

We're off tomorrow morning -camping, biking, boating (inflatable), swimming, fishing etc. We were going to go north to the beaches and beautiful upper Peninsula of Michigan, but dang it's cold -struggling to reach 70 each day -too cold for serious water activities.

So now we're contemplating heading south to the Daniel Boone national Forest Eastern KY area. But we've never been there before (which is good). But... will it be humid and buggy? (well more so than MI?) are there lakes we can swim in, or is it boating and fishing only? Is there anywhere you'd recommentd a similar distance from us that offers what we require and will have temps in th low 80s for the next 10 days?

Help!

OK, NM, we decided to shiver in Michigan. we all realized we wanted sandy beaches, and after all we are British, so we'll probably have more fun on the beach in the cold that in the forest white-water rafting through the mossies

There are so many options, it's hard to decide on just one. Have a great time.

Well, there are the beachs up from Virginia through New Jersey. I have to admit, my trip back to Atlantic City, NJ was nice.

Atlantic City, NJ - Casinos, decent beach, and boardwalk.

Ocean City, NJ - nicer beach. smaller boardwalk, more family oriented.

Oh, I just looked it up: THAT'S where Buck Creek State Park is. In HS we went to Brown Reservoir for Senior Skip day!
