There was an absolutely stunning two part programme on tv last week. If it ends up being picked up over there I highly recommend it.

1066: The Battle for Middle Earth.

It's a docu drama, based on the bayeux tapestry. But it tells the tales of the little people. The ones that appear along the border of the tapestry. It isnt often a docudrama gets me. But this is superb. Brilliantly acted. Very informative. Very atmospheric.
