There were a pair a Sam Gross cartoons depicting a similar theme,
one had a rooster in bed with a cold and the hen is feeding him what is presumably chicken soup. "Relax, it's no one you know and it will make you feel better." In the other one, a hen and rooster are having breakfast and look down a two eggs sunny side up. "They don't taste that bad and it sure beats sending them to college."
