Okay, so there was this big power failure.
Which the people who tell us these kinds of things (the Canadian Power Dude) said resulted from a "lightning strike" at the Niagara power generation facility. Where the National Weather Service said there was no thunderstorm activity. And while I was out on the front porch at work (around 5pm) there were numerous military jets (transports and fighters) flying around ... Lightning.
