Okay, I've been thinking about this for a little bit and...

It sucks. It completely sucks. It's n00b-a-riffic. Why would you want to do this? Just lock the threads. What else is <b>ever</b> going to go to an "Archive" section? In case we decide we're bored with IotD? What's the point? Lock the threads, okay. Still lame, but it's his weblog. But create a special section for it? Nothing else is ever going to go in there! Just make a sticky thread in juju's whatever it was called that says basically what Tony's post said.

Not only that, but because it's a forum instead of a group, it's tabbed over and looks dumb.

Why would we ever want to do this?
