Letterman has been on a roll the past couple nights, since McCain blew him off (he said he needed to get on a plane back to DC right away, the economy is "cratering" then proceeded to talk to Couric instead and left on a plane the next a.m.)
And, as Letterman implied: even if that were true, couldn't Sarah Plain step in? Isn't that the VP's JOB? Craig Ferguson has been pretty funny, too!
