In the right sunlight I think even naturally black hair has that same hue, Sundae. Almost all hair is reflective to a certain degree... Anyway, I like it. Probably could use a brush, though.

That was 15 minutes of artful waxing to stop me looking like a Lego woman thank yew!

Getting used to it.
Just wish it wasn't so bright.
It doesn't come across in photos, but is immediately apparent IRL.

Glatt, even chalky hawk shit becomes you.
Lovely shot.

Well, these aren't RFN but maybe an hour ago. Let's just say bugs love me and love to bite me, and often I have a nasty reaction.

I can't find pics from a few years ago when my face swelled up to moon-like proportions after some fire ant bites on my foot. That one required a trip to the ER for a shot, though luckily no breathing issues.

I don't think today's are fire ant bites. The little suckers that snuck up on me were smaller than fire ants, but within about 30 minutes their little bites had swollen up like this. These pics are from the peak and now (after time and ice) it's still bumpy but getting back to normal...

My wife has banned me from the yard for the rest of the day (year?)

I know I'm a bit late on this...but ever find out what kind of ants those are?

There is a new invading species called the "raspberry ant," that bites. Supposedly doesn't bite as badly as fire ants, but you apparently have a stronger reaction than most. Anyway you might want to google them, they're very destructive and it might be good take care of the problem if they're already in your yard.

Good find, I hadn't heard of those ants. I don't think mine were as tiny as these, but who knows. Maybe they grew on their trek from Houston to Austin. I did have a lot of bites and didn't notice them so it's possible, though when I stood up I wasn't swarmed with them as I'd expect from the reports on these little terrors.

If I was this guy, I'd be dead!
