Now, Spexx, there is your severe mental problem, right on display: you're a rager against self defense, and you've been one for I don't know how long. A sane approach -- and I've told you in some detail yours isn't -- is an approach conducive to self defense, even unto killing tools. You always taking the hoplophobic side isn't going to persuade anyone, and it shouldn't have persuaded you. And before you start yelling about "civilized," remember that it is civilized to defeat the aberrant barbarians. That's what my approach is about -- yours is about paying Danegeld and hoping to get rid of the Dane. Ain't gonna happen.
You reduce manmade RBS by reducing perpetrators, by conversion or by ballistics, but above all by reducing perpetrators.
