Puppy Isn't Gonna Get Any Older

I think this is a real picture, but the question I have is...why?

If you look closely, it appears that he *is* pissing on his parade.

Could that be a laptop belonging to an employer, perhaps? and this is an act of protest?

Or mebbe the thing has an all inclusive warranty, with no restrictions for "shorts out because of exposure to puppy-pee" and the owner just wants to test that.

It's a cute pic either way. pictures of (live) puppies are always cute. they can't help it.

I like the way the puppy and desktop color scheme matches the wall, the mug, etc.

The compositional quality in this photo is exactly the reason I am asking "why". Someone *had* to have stood there and made this shot, thus allowing the dog to pee into the (what appears to be a very expensive Sony Vaio mini-laptop) computer.

I'm all for fun shots to post online, but not at the expense of a pricy piece of hardware.

Hmmm, good point. You might sit there with your digital camera on, with your puppy, and you might even have your laptop available to download images; but the moment he squats, the instinct to preserve your expensive item should kick in.

When my Pearl was a puppy, she was a chewer. She destroyed $250 eyeglasses, $100 headphones, $100 sneakers, a sleeping bag, two remote controls, several pens and pencils. She hated tags with a passion, and any time she curled up in a blanket, she would check for tags first and chew them off. Her favorite food was Q-tips; she would chew off the cotton part and leave behind the white paper stick. Luckily she's given up the practice and only chews acceptable things now, like chew toys and bones.

Seeing the puppy pic, I found myself thinking of the amateur videographers whose work gets displayed on what I like to call the "Getting hit with something in the balls program." (America's Funniest Home Videos)

Anyway ... it is usually clear that disasater is looming ... and I know the prize money is a great lure ... but why the hell doesn't the idiot with the camera put it down AND STOP THE BAD THING FROM HAPPENING???

I think the logic goes something along the lines of "Children, family members and friends can be easily replaced, but $10,000.00 you gotta take when you can get it."

Or Maybe....

it's a statement by the owner of what he thinks of this laptop - or perhaps it's still under a no questions asked warranty...

or better yet... what if it were his soon-to-be ex-wife's laptop...
