April 13, 2007: Cadbury cockatoo
Danac suggests this BBC item about a rather feisty cockatoo named Pippa. Pippa's 17, and lives at the Nuneaton and Warwickshire Wildlife Sanctuary. One day they took her outside, where she saw those Cadbury Creme Eggs. She decided they were hers to protect, and for the last two weeks, that's what she's been doing. According to the owner, Quote:

I bet she's delicious. Bird for dinner, chocolate eggs for dessert. Perfect.

I wouldn't be worried about that bird. If I can choke a chicken, I can handle a cock or two.

How can [Imus] you people [/Imus] even joke about eating cockatoo?!?!?
I'd use it as crab bait and have crab cakes instead.

I used to live in Nuneaton, and I can't recall ever seeing a wildlife Sanctuary! There was a nice quiet town, an ant-hill that was about 6 or 7 stories high, and a lovely quiet pub...? Well, never mind, just send me the cadbury's eggs as evidence and I'll believe it.

Has the cockatoo checked to see if the eggs are smaller or not?
