Cheney, now, the then head of those people, who is now the head of the other thing, he did some stuff. The time of the doing was then for some things and now for some others, but we have to support the troops! Support the troops! He didn't do alot of things, and at the time, this was probably not one of the things he wasn't not connected with, that is, if you hate America you might think so. Anyways, who cares? The important thing is support the troops and the other thing isn't, because who cares about the thing, because I already said that. God Bless America.

I told you already, who cares? If you hate the troops, just say so.

So basically you have no counter argument or are unable to elucidate any counter position what so ever. Ok.

Because, freed of the pressures of competitive bidding and confident in support from the highest echelons of US government, they stole billions of dollars, broke numerous laws, and delivered substandard services to the troops, as mentioned earlier.

And what does Halliburton do that the military didn't do for itself before privatization?

Competitive with whom? Like I stated, since Flint is unable to do it, maybe you could just list me the companies that were in a position to enter that competitive bid process in Sept 9/11? Substandard services? How do you come to that conclusion. You need to be very careful about the time line here. After years had gone by other companies may have emerged that wanted a piece of the big give away of billions of tax dollars, who wouldn't. Hell I even thought about forming one myself.

As to your last question, you must not have read my previous posts, Halliburton/KBR has been around a really long time providing this type of logistical support. In my time they were in Somalia and Bosnia and pretty much everything in between up to and including the present events. Hey post the first year or so I agree there should have been a more equatible approach, provided any company bidding had the ability to fill the bill and meet the needs, very few were.

I'm not a catering or construction industry expert, but unless you believe that Halliburton would have been the only one to make a bid, the question is irrelevant. And hey, if they had been the only one, they would have won anyway.

I had an earlier post with links. But you can google spoiled food, poisoned water supply, and trucks abandoned for flat tires and other minor mechanical issues for a start.

I'm not especially old, but Bush 1 isn't a really long time ago.

My point exactly.

I do believe that the examples I gave were Somalia 1992-94 (Bush/Clinton) and Bosnia 1994 (Clinton), 15 years and 13 years respectively. KBR has been contracting with the military since 1941, it is one of their many specialties, I don't think Cheney was around then, I could be wrong, maybe he was plotting and planning for this since 1941.
