Sorry - might be a British term. We use terrestrial to distinguish the 5 channels everyone gets, as opposed to digital or cable channels (which you choose to get).
This was on the 30 minute news on ITV from what I remember. Sometimes I do get intergalactic news, but I can't talk about that on Tuesdays
