It just now struck me that these automated towel dispensers are partly intended as an alternative to electric hand dryers. Given the title of this thread, I guess that this means that adopters of the devices would then be replacing something that blows with something that sucks.

Check out the new hand towel dispenser we just installed; it's on the right, on the counter just below the first new one that still sucks. We got so frustrated with the high-tech new one that we now just use its rolls of paper manually.

I kinda see it as a vindication of my initial dislike for the new dispenser.
