I'm used to that. Talking about my job with new people nearly always results in awkward pauses.

I don't deal directly with penises, but I do see a lot of dicks in my line of work.

Isn't summertime when all your coworkers, bosses, children of former co-workers and assorted others go nuts?

The troublesome months seem to be winter. That's when we've had most of our staff suicides, although that murder did take place in late May ...

Um. I'm 5'2'' tall. Guess I know what my halloween costume will be this year. one of the grad students in the lab is visiting Iceland this summer (in-laws originally from there). I'll see if she's planning on going.

Please remember , and please tell the journalist on the Philadelphia Enquirer that the plural of 'penis' is 'penes' , and not 'penises' .

And do not forget that it is easy to write a silly article . How dare that illiterate journalist mock an Icelandic institution thus ? And I suggest that some of you wonder about your own silly laughter .
