"Sponge bathing", sounds like someone wants to be bathed; but, doesn't want to pay for it. No wonder there's a shortage of nurses!

BTW, when one of my in-laws was sick, I had to give them a sponge bath (with a washcloth). It's not a lot of fun from the back of the sponge.
