That's surely true, but the overall NT message -- not contradicted by your examples -- does not contain the savagery and war of the OT. People were pretty much instructed to be cool, as opposed to the OT where they were often instructed to decimate entire enemy populations with the assistance of God.

You sought to make your own point, not to contradict mine, and so you failed to contradict mine and it stands -- y'see? If you want to disprove my point, you have to address it, you see?
