I have ongoing correspondence with Arlen, Rick & John down in DC, and John and Mike in Harrisburg. We exchange a couple letters a year.

Want to have some fun? Write two letters, for and against some issue.

I've sent emails, letters and have gone down to city hall and the state house to urge support of issues. Usually get a form letter/ response back, but a few times have received more thoughtful, detailed response- showing someone read my letter.

I've seen local/state advocacy, efforts like this effect policy.

I sent email to Congressman Pickering's office last night and got a call this morning with a promise of "maybe" help with the SBA.
