I tried one of those new apples the other evening...The Cosmic Crisp.
A very nice apple. Firm, sweet. Almost too firm. They're a cross between a Honeycrisp and an Enterprise (I think). One article I read said they'll keep for up to a year. I sprinkled a little salt on it, it was very good. Only Washington will be growing them, for the next 10 years anyway.
