Hee hee! I agree, they're pretty dorky looking, but when you live out in the mud and the blood and the beer like I do, and need a waterproof, easy put-on/take-off shoe, they're the only thing that works. Plus, they last forever.

Lord Mayor, I'd be interested to know if you have slip-on/slip-off shoes. With all the crud that boots and shoes drag into the house, and the PITA that laces bring to the equation, you'd be crazy not to.
