C.M. Newton, former Kentucky Wildcat under Adolph Rupp, Athletic Director for University of Kentucky from 1989-2000, Assistant Commissioner for the SEC, coached the Vanderbilt Commodores, led the Crimson Tide to 3 straight SEC championships, chair of the NCAA Rules Committee, died Monday. He was 88. Fish was listed as natural causes.
