Roadtape & Mixtrip... uh, Roadmix & Tapetrip

Road-trip & Mix-tape are two phrases which conger up all sorts of dreams and mental images, usually lots of them. Some from your fantasies, some from shared stories, some from memories. Book and screen writers know this well, having used it repeatedly.

This site appropriately called Roadtrip Mixtape, lets you make a mix-tape for a trip you specify.

This is an application that you can use to create road trip playlists. Type in the name of your starting and ending points, and the application will create a playlist of music by artists that from the area you are traveling through. Drive through Boston you might hear Aerosmith or Donna Summer. Drive through New Orleans and you might hear Lil Wayne or Dr. John.

Each leg is represented on the map by a green dot. If you click on the green dot you'll see info on that leg including a list of artists along with the city that they are from.

The NYC to Boston trip they use as an example, has 16 green dots each representing as many as six artists.

My only bitch is some of the "artists" are DJs, but that's my problem.
