![]() UT, as I use the term, "home invasion" is when the residents are at home. If they are absent it is burglary. Is it different there? The phrase "home invasion" is quite a new term, the same crime has existed for years under the name of aggravated burglary. Oh and burgle (verb), burgled (past participle, adjective), burglar (personal noun). If someone uses burglarized then I'm upping them to burglarizerer.
