Nice Day

It is the feast day of Our Lady of Bananas.

We started nice and early with a home swim meet against a rather swanky country club which ended as quickly as anyone could hope for, for a distance meet. It ended in a resounding victory, the fundraiser sold out and the biggest problem was that all the rich parents needed change for 20s and 50s at the concession stand.

Then we went to celebrate at Denny's (reinstating an old team tradition). Service was unbelieveably terrible, but it kinda worked out OK because the kids loved the together-not-in-the-pool time and the parents ordered small because it was really a second breakfast, but by the time it arrived it was lunch so we stopped feeling guilty and started feeling virtuous.....

Then we went to the movies -the girls to Harry Potter and the boys to transformers 3D....

Then we went out for the birthday dinner at Joe's Crab Shack which was good. (We've never been there before). BL had a bucket with the works, beest has crab stuffed shrimp. My steak was overdone, but nice anyway, but they took it off the bill even though I told them it was ok. Most people had enormous desserts.

And the weather is hot but not humid -we sat outside for dinner.....

Lovely
