Surely the most awesome thing this year:
Calling himself Fusion Man, Swiss ex-airforce pilot and now commercial airline captain and extreme sports enthusiast Yves Rossy has just flown across the English channel with his personal rocket suit. It features four kerosene powered jet engines, and a special suit to prevent him from being burned. He steers by leaning and turning his head. 99.99 awesomeness points.
