The text in the email:

These pictures were taken by a guy in Martin, SD.
Pictures from his kitchen onto his patio deck.

I googled "a guy in Martin, SD" and found this link to
the same four shots, along with the following text:

These pictures were taken by a guy in Martin, SD. He took
the pictures from his kitchen looking out onto his patio deck
after he discovered the mountain lion watching his children
playing on the kitchen floor.

Something about that last sentence pinged a note in my head.
Aha: four days ago Snopes researched this one, and the result?

We spoke with Dave Hamilton of the Missouri Department of
Conservation's Mountain Lion Response Team, who has been tracking
these pictures, and he informed us that they were actually taken
back around 2001 or 2002 by Dr. Dave Rogers at his home in Lander,
Wyoming (with the detail about the big cat's "watching his little
kids on the kitchen floor" being a bit of fictitious sensationalism
added by unknown hands).

Wyoming, South Dakota, it doesn't really matter.
Because you know if there had been kids in the house, this cat would have been
watching them.
