No, doctors just don't take Medicare/Medicaid, anymore. When I moved out here, I couldn't find ANY doctor with openings for new Medicare/Medicaid patients. Finally, I found a rural clinic (supported by the gov which makes up the difference in fees). The clini is 19 miles away. I'm looking forward to Dr.'s appointments come winter. If I want to see a neurologist, I get to drive all the way to Grand Junction, some 250 miles or so away.
