Firefighter Training

During the first night of my stay at Cape Lookout, I looked out the window and saw a bunch of firetrucks and a big group of firemen milling about. "What the hell is going on?" I said to myself. I soon found out; it was firefighter training for the area's small fire batallions. It made for some good photos. Below is a selection:

First they practiced with the hoses.

Then they signal the propane guy to turn on the propane.

Then they light the propane torch.

Then the propane guy really cranks up the gas.

Then they send in two teams to fight the fire.

Repeat through the night.
