good ideas Lsyc.
outdoor pho... was the only one i subscribed to, but i worked in a camera store so i did get to read the rest. what i did is get all of the backpacking and mountainclimbing mags and just studied what they had in there. also travel brochures are great. i think for most people technique is easy to learn, composition is the hard part for many. the whole art vs science thing.
