Gargantuan snail

I walked by my front porch last night, and encountered this frightening creature:

<i><b>"On my front porch! Where my wife sleeps! And my kids go to play!"</b></i>

This is a composite because there was no scale, but I just had to follow a huge slime trail to find the exact brick where the original was taken.

Is it a big snail or a miniature conch?
