If she's almost at the average weight for her height, then she is actually at a disadvantage not an advantage. The less you have to lose the slower it comes off. It's when you are really overweight that the weight comes off fast and in high amounts.

I do agree though, that having specifically stated that gastric bypass is against the rules, she shouldn't be eligible for the top prize.

I'm kind of counting on this effect. So is my male shift-partner who outweighs me (probably by about 60 to 75 pounds, I'm not going to ask him, though).
