The most important quality that I would look for in potential new members is their willingness to contribute large quantities of cash to the tip jar.

That's what I look for in friends, anyway.

These newcomers take away valuable posting opportunities from honest, hardworking Dwellars! We need to erect some sort of... of.. fire-wall to keep them out!

I've got a firewall in my router. It hasn't done anything about the politics forum.

I have heard that some that go to the politics forum never return to the main boards!

I've invited people to the Cellar quite a few times. Never worked though.
Intelligent, loyal people who like forum posting have already made their choice.

Still, I'm willing to take one for the team.
I'll see if I can find a like-minded forum and groom some of the members.
Just hope that you don't lose me to them instead...

Y'know, at one point I felt guilty for not arguing my POV more aggressively and consistently with some of the posters on the politics forum.

Then I remembered that I am trying not to be an asshat.

I'd do it, but the last thing you all want would be any more people like me.

Thanks spud. That is not the popular opinion, but I appreciate the sentiment just the same.

I am only really on three forums...this is #1, Flamewarriors is #2 and I wouldn't invite more than one person from there to here. #3 remains highly classified.

The US is not now, nor has it ever been a democracy. It is a federal republic.

I blame public schools for this misinformation.

I never said we was. Democracy Now is a news show for those who are not familiar.
