Surprisingly good

I just watched the new TV show "Drop Dead Diva" and was surprised at how good it is.
From the commercials, I was expecting it just to be about the soul of a skinny, self-centered model occupying the body of a fat, smart lawyer. But it's both souls in the same body, learning about eachothers' lives and feelings and friends, etc.
It's really very good. Almost had my tearing up.

Has anyone else seen it?

I'll look out for that.

Set up reminds me of that old Steve Martin film, All of Me.

Sorry, I was watching The Office and 30 Rock. I'm always late to the party. I don't get into a show until I catch it in reruns after a year or more. Perhaps in a couple years I'll catch Drop Dead Diva.

Shel, I just checked out the website for this show...didn't know April Bowlby is in it. I think she is hilarious, her character on Two and a Half Men always makes me laugh.

When is it usually on?

It's on Sundays at 9pm but they show repeats of the episode during the week at different times as well.

I saw the first two eps yesterday. I agree, very interesting, funny, and poignant.

Yay for fat girls! Although I don't like the competition shows much, like Dance Your Ass Off. Very Lame.

Actually I can't stand any of the competition shows. Mostly because I loathe competition.

BTW, Sheldon, in channel surfing to find the BBCA I stumbled across the gay channel--Bump! They were doing a show on gay bars in London, and gay rent-an apartments in Soho and other places. Made me want to book a room pdq! Saved as favorite!
