I see this afterimage with my left eye. 2 days now....and it seems like my vision is somewhat distorted right there too. kind of ...bulge ish.

its a blue disc with a dark center about the size of my retina, but slightly lower than center, so it 'runs away' when i try to focus on it.....like a floater. When i close my eyes, it's bright blue/green or yellow. if i try to see it with eyes open, it's purple or maroon.

hope it goes away....it's a little bit annoying.

Give it another day then go to your doctor or an optician.
I only get vision occlusion when I am having or about to have a migraine - having it for more than a day could be a symptom of something more concerning.

Does it seem to be fixed in the same place? In other word when you move your eye left, does it move left too? If so it sounds very much like the retinal hemorrhage I had a few years back. Either way I'd see an ophthalmologist ASAP.

What glatt said. See an eyedoctor today, before the weekend. Detached retinas can go to full blindness in that eye very, very quickly. My eyedoctor has told me before to call him at home in the middle of the night if I started having visual symptoms like the one you're describing.
