Does not wear out anywhere near as fast as most other materials or fabrics. Sex is not advisable on a leather sofa - IMO- Funny story - - My GF and I were intimate on the sofa and experiencing a sticking problem - went with a blanket

VOOM on the floor we were in no time flat. Moral of the story - Blankets and sheets slide off leather very, very fast.

I like it. My friends tease me about my love of super-bright colors, though -- as my brother said, "you don't really wear things that clash with each other... but sometimes you wear a color that manages to clash with itself."

I probably would not buy a leather couch because I am a vegetarian, but I really like the look of it and think you should go for it, if it wouldn't mean throwing out all your other stuff.

I have a bright red couch..........because I love red. Not everyone loves red.
I've had it for two and a half years now. And even I'm tired of looking at it.
But hey- it was fun.

I like red leather, but the stuff in the OP is a little too orangy-red and way too shiny for my taste. I wanted red leather chairs for the family room, planned to buy them for a while, but then found identical brown ones for exactly half the price that I'm very happy with. Maybe in the living room though...

Most people don't take care of theirs. If you do it will last a lifetime.

& yeah, our coffee table is usually FAR more full of trains and "accessories" than that.
