Valley Forge
I'm planning on being in Valley Forge in late September for a conference. I don't plan on renting a car, so do not have any plans to go into Philadelphia, but am curious what things might be around Valley Forge to see so I can determine if I want to stay there an extra day or two. Thanks!

The primary attraction is the Valley Forge National Park, the history of which is very important to the country, but its main concern today is as a scenic walking area for people. If you are interested in revolutionary war history, it will attract you, otherwise it's just monuments, log cabins and a visitor's center.
The second attraction is the King of Prussia mall, which is a very large shopping area... probably nearly identical to all the other shopping areas near you. Other than that, it's your basic suburb, and all the really awesome attractions are downtown. |

QVC Studio Park is not too far ... you'd either need a car, or depending on the conference, they might have something set up to go do the tour.
If you want to brave public transit you can do the Historical Sites in Philadelphia. Or go out for dinner with some Dwellars. There's a lot of darn good eating in the area ... do you know which hotel your conference is in yet?

Lots of cool stuff to do, call the chamber of commerce and ask them, they will mail you plenty within walking distance or help you set-up a tour.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll be at The Inn at Valley Forge.

I've never been to Hooters. Could be an interesting experience if I decide to go there (though it would be my first or last day, as the conference is providing all meals). We had one in Reno, but they closed up years ago.

If you were at the Raddisson, you could book a fantasy suite.
Like the Jungle Room or the Outer Space Room ...

I'll leave room themes to my imagination. Or to one of the two hotels over here that do that kind of thing. Not that I've ever been to one of them or have any reason to go to one of them.
