At one point the "war on drugs" was using chemical weapons in hopes of spoiling crops that they weren't able to kill...and there was a psyops element in convincing the stoners that their weed might be contaminated.

They used Paraquat because Agent Orange already had a bad rep...:-)

Actually, steeped in the drug culture as I am, I kind of assumed that a paraquat was some slang that I didn't know. Like enjoying O-town, or being a talking head. Thanks for the info.

Holy Mother of GOD!!! And I thought that the houka (sp??) that a friend of mine had was huge. It had like 8 pipes coming out of the base, and you could drop an ounce in the bowl and keep it lit with coals.
