While you may find this person's self promotion bothersome, you might look at his methodology and the results. I trade stocks for a living, but my results are not as good, so I am always willing to learn. It is easy to make fun of somebody like this, but he is concentrating on making money. How are your investments doing?

It is my experience that self-promotion is an attempt to fill a void that exists for reasons obvious to everyone except the self-promoter.
