Found in an old barn, What is this? Seriously, because no one we know seems to know. It's is apparently some kind of specialized sewing tool but for sewing what, and why the sliding halves? It appears there was another matching needle on the other half that broke off. |

It's the head-tool for a fracking drill.
By rotating the apparatus, the operator changes the direction. The push/pull action of top piece is the actual drilling mechanism They use wood to avoid sparks, which could cause an gas explosion. Trust me, I stayed in a Holiday Inn last Friday night. |
