I try to resist pop culture, but when pop culture pulls out a 2 x 6 and slaps me upside the head with it, I find it sort of difficult to ignore.

Now, you may think what you want about Ms Spears talent and demeanor. The fact is, if she wasn't better than average looking, you never would have had the chance to make a judgement. That's been true in Show Business ever since "I'm ready for my closeup, Mr DeMille".
