In their defense, the metroplex is pretty much as bad as Austin during the summers. They do get a real winter sometimes though.

And I really prefer the socio-politico-psycho-philosophical conditions down there, any time of year. It's like the anti-Texas (in a good way).

Wanted to go when we could still enjoy Barton Springs... that was the only time we could book... would have prefered April, but Oh well... I've been there in Auguest many times... and it beats being in Houston...

Woo! Flint and Pooka are wonderful, lovely people. And I even got to meet Pooka's mom! We had a great time hanging out in the shade while the kids played on the playscape and got soaked in the sprinklers, dried in the sun, and soaked in the sprinklers again. The photographic evidence, however, is on Pooka's camera, so you'll just have to take my word for it until she gets a chance to get back to internet access. |

Here is the proof!!! We had a delightful time! The Fobbles are great folk! All the littles were around the same age which made for a fun time for all! Clodfobble is a fantastic Mama! We need to move down there and start a Mama and me play group! |
