Angry The loss of a dear friend

I just wanted to share this picture of a dear friend who recently left us. We had a moment of carelessness and he got out the door. We did not find him until after the tempature had dropped below freezing he didn't survive.

His name was Orion and he was two years old. He wsa one of the lights of my wifes life. Ofcorse I get the sneaking suspicion that he is occasionally still on her shoulder. Dragon kind are hard to be rid of.

Sorry to hear about your loss. I also recently lost a pet (of eight years).

Judging from the picture, he was very healthy - which is more than can be said about a lot of iguanas. Those healthy looks indicate pretty strongly that you guys took great care of him, and that indicates your love. So just from that picture I can tell that he meant a lot to his humans.

It's hard, in times of loss, to remember the good - but be sure to do that. Smile that you got to spend some of your life with him.

My cousin had a 3 foot long teal and green dragon. It scared the bejesus out of my aunt. The next time we saw her she was carrying it around like a cat and petting it Dr. Evil fashion.

He would roam around the house and sit on things and look majestic. One day he crawled his way up my leg and sat on my lap looking at me, and I reached out a tentative hand. He reared back for a second and eyeballed me. I scratched him on the neck and he closed his eyes and you could almost hear him purr.

I made a friend.

My condolences.

It is unfortunate that his curiosity about the world got the better of him.

Well thank you all for kindness of my orion, my husband was very sweet doing this. Orion will be missed. We have 2 more iggy's and one will be having his eggs soon! We may keep one just in memory of so a piece of him still lives with my loving memories of a funny Iguana.
